If you are like me, you are wondering which of several options you should consider for a portable fire pit, because burn bans are not going away. I picked up the Howl R1 about a year ago and used it several times. While it looks great, something was missing. Heat. Pure and simple. I didn't feel like I was getting warm, unless it was already warm outside and I was a foot away, I couldn't feel the 800 degrees they market. So I kept looking and found LavaBox. While I have my opinions about the difference between them both, I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me, so I took advantage of a group gathering and asked their opinions as well. This is awesome!!! If you are thinking about getting one you won’t be disappointed. This thing puts off a lot of heat and the pest part is it does not suck down your propane tank like most. It gives it the old camp fire feel as the rocks disperse the flames. Easy and fast set up and tear down. Best of all it is a must for me in Colorado with it being stage 2 fire restriction compliant it makes camping great ( because who wants to camp without a fire).
I love the portability of my Lavabox. Also, customer service is great with this company. I definitely recommend this product and will buy again.
If you do any outdoors stuff, this is the best thing out, this thing works great, so impressed.
