Replacement screws: We recommend using 4mm x 10mm, and machine screws with a small head are ideal, but a larger standard head and length up to 12mm should work as a replacement for the screws in the adjustment collar. The standard head (as found at Ace Hardware) might seem tight but should snug down just fine. For added security, a small amount of semi-permanent Loctite or thread glue can be used. It is important to periodically check the tightness to avoid losing the screws. In case of replacement, stainless steel screws are preferred, but not essential.
