This is my second LavaBox, and I couldn’t be happier! I started with the original naked version three years ago, and after some serious use, it was time for an upgrade to the stainless steel model. The original went through dozens of camping trips, including many in winter. It survived rainstorms, countless tumbles, and still delivered a flame that rivaled a real wood fire every time. The durability is unmatched.
What I love most is the convenience—packing a 20lb propane tank means no hunting for firewood, and when camping with kids, I don’t have to wait for the fire to catch. It’s instant warmth and light, and just as easily, I can turn it off. The stainless steel version feels like it’s built to last, with an easy on-and-off top and a solid, tank-like construction. I can’t wait to see how it holds up over time, but first impressions are outstanding. Great job, LavaBox!

Getting ready to take our Lavabox on it's first trip in our motorhome to Newfoundland! I am so excited to have a fire every night without the hassle of purchasing or finding wood and no smoke!
Used my lavabox in Joshua Tree National Park on a multi day camping trip. It kept me perfectly warm and created the perfect ambiance. Highly recommend for a smoke-free fire experience!
