The flat grill wok-style cooking surface is perfect for camping. Just sizzled up some ribeyes and veggies for a quick meal and breezy cleanup! Temp control is super responsive. I’m Looking forward to future easy meals with the campfire Lava Box s’mores for dessert…

I love the fit, finish and function of the Hekla lava box! It is an amazing piece of engineering from Josh and his team! I ordered this last month and with the tariffs, there were expected delays, but the team always reached out and updated me. Can’t thank them enough for their efforts! I am telling everyone about this amazing product! Be patient, it is so worth it and beats anything like it out of the water.

Bought one as a fathers day gift and one as birthday present for outdoorsy colorado people. With a likely forever fire ban on the horizon, these are fantastic. Take it camping, rafting etc.

I’ve been rained out a few times camping when it was cold, and was looking for a solid backup for heat. Lavabox hit all the marks at a great value. Super convenient for a quick outdoor fire on a weeknight, and a reliable fire pit in the rain. Probably one of the best camping purchases I’ve made!

I bought the original naked Lavabox a few years ago after meeting Josh at a local event and it is still going strong! Bought a second one this month (which has the newer design and vent holes) and I like it just as much as the original, if not more. Now I can have 2 campfires going on simultaneously (one for the adults and one for the kids)!

I was looking for something that was dual purpose for cooking & camp fires and Lavabox was a great solution. I don't think it's the perfect cooking solution but it's good enough in a pinch, especially if I'm solo. As a firebox I think it's top notch and there is a lot of value here. Everything appears to be very high quality and we like it so much we've just started using it in the back yard a couple times a week. Great, made-in-the-USA product, couldn't be more pleased!

I also was very pleased with the travel bag that was included and the gloves I purchased as an addition.

I had researched a few different brands. I ended up purchasing an ignik firecan. It was fine for two people, but very limited on heat output. I decided to pickup this Lavabox, and…wow! I’ve been very impressed with the build quality, and the heat output! For such a small piece of gear, the size of the flame is even more impressive than I had expected. I really love the gear bag and the dual burners. If you’re looking for a portable fire pit, and can’t decide on one, do yourself a favor and get this thing, you won’t regret it
