We recieved our lavabox on Tuesday September 8th 2026. We are going to fire it up this weekend to have a test run and try out cooking on it too. The build quality is excellent and the supplied accessories are top notch as well we will send some videos as we get out camping when it gets a bit cooler. It's like 150 degrees here in oklahoma but but we will be camping pretty much every weekend when it cools of outside. We will give you some future progress reports on the lavabox. Thanks a bunch for all the help in the purchase and we will probably be ordering the neoprene 10 pound bottle cover soon.

Works great.. I love the new valve. The original regulator didn't have the added valve.

Have loved cooking on my LavaBox in addition to using it as a fire, but bending over to cook some meals was not enjoyable as the experience now with the Daddy Long Legs. Must have addition in my opinion.

Love this Pizza oven. Pizza on the trail was a huge upgrade to what do we cook ths weekend? Friday night Pizzas is easy creative and unique. And there are so many ideas to change up camp cooking. Easy to use simple ingredients or make them fancy whatever you like to do. Will please any age group.

If you are like me, you are wondering which of several options you should consider for a portable fire pit, because burn bans are not going away. I picked up the Howl R1 about a year ago and used it several times. While it looks great, something was missing. Heat. Pure and simple. I didn't feel like I was getting warm, unless it was already warm outside and I was a foot away, I couldn't feel the 800 degrees they market. So I kept looking and found LavaBox. While I have my opinions about the difference between them both, I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me, so I took advantage of a group gathering and asked their opinions as well. I ordered this about a year ago and have been thoroughly pleased with it. Many of the competitors charge twice the price. I'm partial to the ammocan design as a military veteran. Spoke with them at overland expo mountain west, super friendly and their new oven pan made fabulous pizzas.

Great product; my second one, and I've loved my first one but wanted to upgrade to the dual burner for cooking. That's a great idea. Very much appreciated the quick shipping, and the very reasonable shipping cost!

Used the Hekla on a camping trip with family. Provided heat adequately and easy to use. However, the zipper on the bugout bag it came with broke. Contacted the company and they provided a replacement expeditiously. Excellent customer support. Looking forward to using it on our trips with family and friends.

This is awesome!!! If you are thinking about getting one you won’t be disappointed. This thing puts off a lot of heat and the pest part is it does not suck down your propane tank like most. It gives it the old camp fire feel as the rocks disperse the flames. Easy and fast set up and tear down. Best of all it is a must for me in Colorado with it being stage 2 fire restriction compliant it makes camping great ( because who wants to camp without a fire).

This new hose works great. No significant flow issues. Metal construction!

This new version is so much better not only to control the flame but especially on initial startup. The Original Red knob one was almost dangerous when it came to lighting the fire. It was way to easy to over gas it and then it would woosh a big flame when you put the lighter to it. You had to really keep your head away upon lighting. I would not let anyone else light it except me. The new version is much easier to control. Thanks for making the change over Lava Box

I bought a Original Lava Box a few years back. What a great camp fire this thing makes. But shortly after that they came out with the additional burner option. Well that changed everything so I bought a second Lava Box that I could now use for cooking. My original just sat there until I saw it was an option to convert this into the cooker style too. I will pass this one onto my son. For fifty bucks its a great value to upgrade.

Just received second Burts 10 lb tank top. I bought my first one a year ago or so. This second one is definitely a little bit different. It is nearly impossible to get on and zip up all the way. I felt like I was going to rip the neoprene. I think once it stretches out a bit things will be fine. Also the materials are a little different than before. Not the ballistic style neoprene on bottom and top as the old generation had. Not complaining here , just noting the differences. All in all its a great product and makes hauling the tank in and out of my van that much easier. Thanks Josh and Lava Box crew

I’ve been using Lavabox in all my outdoor adventures, and I got to say that it is by far one of the best fire pits out there. On one adventure, my bugout bag broke and can no longer zipper up and close. I contacted customer service and inquired about on how to replacement my bugout bag. Instead of making money of me, they sent me a new one and told me that they guarantee all of their products. Now that’s true customer service! Will be buying more products from them soon!

I love my Lava Box. The tripod takes it to a new level...literally. You can adjust the height and angle of support...a game changer. Makes roasting marshmellows or cooking up some dogs a breeze.
