The lavabox is the best firepit on the market. Adding that it is also compact and portable adds to the functionality. I dropped one start for price, but it is worth the premium.
I have been lugging around one of those huge round gas fireplaces for years that weighs 20lbs or more and take up a huge amount space. This is a game changer and exactly what I have wanted out of a portable fire. Light, low, and HUGE BTU's
We love our LavaBox! its there prefect addition to our RV. Space and weight are critical in the RV, and the LavaBox fix easily in our storage area, and doesn't take up much space. It's great! Every place we've been to this year doesn't allow burning firewood, so I'm excited to take this and be able to sit out around it to keep warm when we're camping.
Great compact design. Will work well when remote camping and not able to have a traditional fire. Bought some aftermarket rocks that retain more heat to add a little more ambient heat to the gas fire. The only thing that could be improved is adding a quick disconnect for the gas line. Make sure you buy a 30lb for this one 20 lb wont last long.
I looked into several of the ammo can fire pit options on the market and I think the standard LavaBox with the carrying case is the best bang for the buck out there. Used it on a camping trip recently and really enjoyed how simple it is to set up, and it puts out nice warmth and also worked perfectly to roast some S'mores. Great product!
