This new version is so much better not only to control the flame but especially on initial startup. The Original Red knob one was almost dangerous when it came to lighting the fire. It was way to easy to over gas it and then it would woosh a big flame when you put the lighter to it. You had to really keep your head away upon lighting. I would not let anyone else light it except me. The new version is much easier to control. Thanks for making the change over Lava Box
Some how lost the hose that came with my Lava box, so I had to order a new one
Definitely works better than the older style regulator, however I feel this newer one doesn't produce as high of flames, but that doesn't matter to me at all because the super high flames aren't really practical to sit around. This new one seems perfect. The only thing I can't say is how it will preform in cold weather but I expect well.
I have nothing but great things to say about this company. The LavaBox I ordered has been amazing for our travels but it’s the outstanding customer service that really sets them apart. I had a faulty regulator and was immediately sent a brand new replacement with no questions asked. Thanks again for a superior product and exceptional service. Wood campfires have now become a thing of the past for us!
