We were invited to my buddy’s new outdoor patio/grill opening. My buddy lives up on hill and it was forecasted to be windy and cold, so I decided take my Lava Box … just in case. When I got there they had a Pyramid Patio Propane Heater and two Infrared Outdoor Heaters by the grilling station. next to it they had an empty fire pit with chairs. I decided to put my Lava Box in the pit and I sparked it up. My buddy thought I was wasting my time because it was cold and windy and he figured his heating contraptions was going keep everyone warm by the grilling station. Wrong! Maybe his heating contraptions were not producing any heat because of the wind ? Whatever the reason the party soon moved to where the heat was coming from … and that was my Lava Box! Needless to say my buddy thanked me for saving day!

Wish I had purchased this when I bought my Lava Box last year but happy to have it now. I had passed on it last year because I didn’t see it as a necessity but this makes it so much easier to have everything in one bag to throw in the truck and go. It’s so well made with plenty of space for everything and then some. My only small gripe is the zippers don’t feel as rugged as the rest of the bag and aren’t very smooth to operate.

Burned the other one down and left a mess. The replacement fit perfect and my lava box is happy and back to new condition.

This is the BEST campfire box built. Quality is great. Fire strength is superior. I bought a competitor fire box for a cheaper price and returned it, because this Lavabox is far superior. You will not be disappointed with the purchase of the Lavabox. It does drink the propane, so only turn it on when you are ready to sit and enjoying the fire. Also it does not take the small 1lb bottles of propane,, you will need 5lb tank or greater. There is no mess, no hunting for twigs and logs to burn and hope they are dry. When you turn off the Lavabox, it cools down quickly. It is great to have the carring bag too, everything fits in the bag and room to add more items. Love the Lavabox! It is a must have....for all overlanders/ campers.

So far, the Lava Box setup is working like I thought it would. Very warm flame. I also like the Over/Under Grill Thingy; moreover, I am glad I ordered the carry case.

Just received the lavabox. Amazing ammo can fire pit. Keeps us warm, very well built.

Used my lavabox in Joshua Tree National Park on a multi day camping trip. It kept me perfectly warm and created the perfect ambiance. Highly recommend for a smoke-free fire experience!

It seems to be well built. I like its stainless steel. The only thing I wish was a little different was the width....1/4" to 1/2" wider and the LavaBox would fit completely on the grill. As it is, one side has to be on the frame which caused it not to be level. Probably not a huge issue but its a change I would make. Thanks

It’s already warming up down south so won’t be able to fully exercise the box for a good while. That said the test run blew us away. As to the customer service, the regulator made a screeching noise that got louder as we turned up the heat. One quick email and a new regulator was on the way, no hassle.

My New Year’s resolution (every year) is to avoid doing reviews. But I’m so impressed with my lavabox and their support, resolution is out the window.

We fired up the fire pit were so happy with the heat and flame. It made camping so much easier than lugging firewood, coaxing it to start and then the hassle of making sure it was really out when we were done.

Easy to use, pleasure to have at the campsite and I was surprised how well it worked when the breeze kicked up a bit.

These are a good value and necessity if handling the grill or other cooking utensils while warm or hot to the touch.

I haven't used it yet but it appears to be well constructed using high quality materials and components. I got it mostly for emergency use during power outages and am confident it will serve as a heater or cooking grill. I am 72 years old and with this useful appliance I might even go camping again. tis awesome, used it on my back patio the day i got it. didn’t have flames as high as my buddies but maybe it was too cold
